Travel Points of Interest in Dublin

Dublin is known for its amazing architecture, culture and nightlife. With so much to see, it can be hard to know what to choose and where to go. Here we will highlight some of the favorites as well as some of the lesser-known sights to see.

The Malahide Castle is a must see when visiting Dublin. This amazing castle is nestled on a huge property full of things to discover such as The Fry Model Railway, which is one of the largest miniature railways in the world. It is a collection of handmade models of Irish trains dating back to the beginning of rail travel. Also located on the grounds is the Talbot Botanic Gardens which contains nearly 5000 species of plant life. In this huge park you will also find a children’s playground, craft shop, restaurant and tea rooms. Visit Tara’s Palace which is an exquisite display of dollhouse beauty and crafting. Don’t forget to take a tour of the Malahide Castle itself and watch out for ghosts! The Malahide Castle can provide you with a full day of entertainment for you and your family.

One of Ireland’s best-known Victorian public parks is St. Stephen’s Green. This huge park is in the heart of the city but is like an oasis. Tree-lined walks, elegant and colorful flowers and even a lake add to the charm of this beautiful park. During the summer months, they even have lunchtime concerts in the park. It is a great place to take a rest from all of the sightseeing.
