Last summer, I took a vacation to Dublin City. The primary reason I went to Dublin City was to spend time in all of the museums that the city has to offer. Although you may not have ever realized it, Dublin City has a very rich heritage and is full of many different types of museums. Because I was in Dublin City for two weeks, I had an opportunity to visit every one of the museums that the city had to offer. Here is a list of the museums that I got to spend time exploring: Chester Beatty Library, Dublin Writers Museum, GAA Museum, Garda Siochana Museum, The Heraldic Museum, The James Joyce Centre, Kilmainham Gaol, The Ark Multimedia Gallery for Children, The National Library of Ireland, The National Museum of Ireland Archeology and History, and The National Museum of Ireland Decorative Arts and Culture - Collins Barracks.
Because I went to so many different museums, I needed a reliable method of transportation. I ended up getting a car rental, and this turned out to be a very easy (and quite efficient) way to get around Dublin City.
