Do you make resolutions when the New Year arrives? Whether it’s to lose weight, spend more time with your family or be a better person in general, this is the time of the year when everyone commits to making major changes in their lives over the next 365 days. Although most people fail to stick to their resolutions for more than a few weeks, there are definitely people who are successful at achieving the goals that they set for themselves.
While I don’t personally make New Year’s resolutions, this doesn’t mean that I don’t set goals for myself. However, I simply set goals throughout the year, instead of limiting myself to once a year. For example, the latest goal I set was about four months. I told myself that I was going to start traveling more. While I haven’t gotten to take a trip yet, I am taking a ten day trip to Dublin in less than a week, so I feel like I am taking a step in the right direction for achieving this specific goal that I sat for myself approximately four months ago.
