At the beginning of this month, I made the decision that I needed to get away for awhile. The reason I decided that I needed a vacation was because I had been putting in a lot of time at work. Even though this isn’t a normal type of decision for me, desperate times call for desperate measures, and that is exactly what this situation was for me. After making this significant decision, I hopped online and took a little time to check out the latest travel deals. It took quite a bit of searching on my part, but after lots of looking, I found a trip I could afford to Dublin. I booked my trip for eight days, and knew that it was going to be a relaxing experience.

When you don’t makes plans ahead of time, your trip schedule is pretty wide open, and this trip was no exception. Since the goal of my trip was to feel as free as possible, I decided to go ahead and get a Dublin car rental for myself. Once I had made all of my arrangements, I only had to wait around for less than two weeks before I took off for my trip.

Once I got to the destination of my trip, the first decision I made was to get my Dublin car rental. Arranging for my transportation online turned out to be a great decision, because actually picking up my Dublin car rental was a breeze. From that point on, I enjoyed myself to the fullest extent possible, and came home feeling completely refreshed.

When my family and other loved ones started asking me what I wanted for my birthday, I kept telling them that I honestly had no idea. While they seemed convinced that I was just trying to make things difficult for them, I honestly didn’t have any idea of what I wanted. Fortunately, my family and other loved ones are more clever than I give them credit for sometimes, and before they ever even asked me what I wanted, they already had a plan in mind since they anticipated I would say nothing (the reason they knew that is because that had been my usual response for at least four to five years).

The plan they had all come up with was to chip in together and arrange a trip for me to go to Dublin. Because this was such a nice gift, I honestly didn’t feel like I deserved it. However, it wasn’t something that I could turn down (because I really did want to go), so I decided just to be happy I have such great people around me and enjoy my trip to Dublin to the fullest (which I must say I did quite well).

For the past two weeks, my grandparents were on vacation in Dublin. A two week vacation in February may seem like a really long amount of time, but because both of my grandparents are retired, it is easier for them to take long trips together (versus normal people like you and me who could not take two consecutive weeks off of our jobs). Since they just got back earlier this week, I called them to see if we could go out to dinner together. Although they were too worn out on the first night that they got back, we were able to go out to dinner together on the next night.

Because they had experienced so much during their two weeks in Dublin, I was more than happy to sit back and listen to all of their travel stories. From their funny episode with getting their car rental in Dublin to all of the great scenery that they saw, Dublin seemed like a truly amazing place to go. As a result of their great experience there, I know that Dublin is a place that I want to eventually visit someday!
